Success factor Open Source

The manifold advantages of open source software do not release the decision makers in e-learning to check the desired solution with regard to meeting all functional and administrative requirements. The success factors for using open source software are often in line with those of commercial software. Why should this be different anyway? Nevertheless when using open source product some additional aspects have to be taken into account.
